In Simple Words…

I went to college today to finalize my clearance stuff. Actually I had been putting that off for some time now because, well, you know how crazy it can get when you just need one more signature but that guy just isn’t available (ever) in his office? But today I was in luck! I finally got that last signature and now I’m a free man! It was fun going to that place. Somehow it seemed different from what I remembered. The long walk from the parking to the admin block didn’t seem much of a discomfort. The numbers on the trees didn’t upset me. Even watching the parade ground fill up after secure didn’t wretch my guts. Kher, I was telling you guys about the fun parts I got to meet with alias after a long while. I also ran into a few instructors who greeted me with surprising warmth. Again, it felt amazing standing in the NSAs office and not feeling guilty. But the most fun I had was while sitting in the secretarys office, waiting for that final signature. No, really! After about half an hour of waiting, me and my friend got bored of saying ‘Aur suna’ to each other So we took out our cell phones and started playing games – yeah I know it sounds odd playing games in the secretarys office, but you weren’t there Kher, after another 5 minutes, the secretary asks me if the entire killer phone call fiasco had any truth in it. I told him that it was all a hoax, and then I started explaining scientifically why such a thing is impossible. After listening to me for a few minutes, he said: “Haan to bus ghalat hai na yeh sub?” ……… “Jee haan.” Yup! That was fun!

Bhabi came to Abu Dhabi about a week back. Which primarily meant that I’d get to eat home-made food instead of take-out :P

But what was more awesome was that everyone from back home sent my favorite foods for me :D Ammi sent muuli ki bhujiya and gajar ka halva. My sister sent her specialty spaghetti, my other bhabi sent brain masala and pateesa :D This means that continuing losing weight has become a lot more difficult :P But hey, it’s worth spending a few more hours a week at the gym!

Aamanna was so mad that he’d been out here for over a decade and I’ve just been here three months, and I’m getting stuff from Karachi :P Well, if he wants that, he should’ve been the youngest in the family ;)

I just recalled this one thing I wrote a few months back.

Fresh home-made food is so so yummy…Even the frozen home-made food doesn’t taste that good (consumers know much better *sighs*)

oh btw, bon appetit!!! :)

what’s pateesa? Sounds Italiano :P

@D.M: Yeah, but well, frozen home-made food beats take-out any day of the week! :)

And pateesa is a desi mithai :P The one that has texture like ply-wood on the inside? :P

Did I hear WOOD? You eat wood?

but some mithais are just too awesome. Why isn’t there anything like “Chocolate mithai”???

Brain Masala … euuuu :P

Pateesa’s my personal fave too BTW, try Fazal of Lahore’s pateesa as must if you go there ever!!

Umemzyy, pateesa’s crunchy and is layered … waaah!

@D.M: Lol.. yeah there is a chocolate mithai. It’s called Chocolate :P

@Asma: Whats wrong with brain masala? :@
