Why I Stick With Macintosh

We were shopping for a laptop for Aamanna, when we came across this amazing HP machine running Vista. It had all the niceties you’d expect from a modern laptop – Centrino Duo processor, plenty of RAM, built-in camera for video-conferencing, a nice nVidia graphics chip, and a gorgeous glossy 15.4″ screen. For a minute, I thought maybe I’d take a like laptop for my next computer instead of the MacBook I had in mind. But as we drove home, the magic wore off, and I was back on track with my MacBook plans. Now my decision might be based on a personal grudge against Microsoft, but there’s good reason to stay with the Mac platform. Here’s one: This was the list of the top 5 downloads for the Mac. And here’s a list of the top 5 downloads for Windows: See the difference? It all lies in the top 3. These were both taken from CNET’s Download.com on the 18th of February, 2007. Well you know what they say – once you go Mac, you never go back! That’s me

All-Time Favorite

Ladies and gents, I have a new all-time favorite song. My former all-time favorite was I Don’t Want To Live Without Your Love by Chicago.

Now that one was pretty darn good, with it’s strong rythm and a deep air of commitment, but it doesn’t hold a candle to this new one – an 80’s song: Don’t Look Any Further by Dennis Edwards. It’s everything that a song should be – it’s sensuous, it’s rythmic, romantic and it’s seductive. Plus it has that strong 80’s vibe to it. I love it! It has been at the top of my playlist for weeks now, and it’s going strong. I guess it’s safe to assume this is my new favorite from now on.

What’s your all-time favorite?

@khawab: lol! well, there’s also a bit of orange. . . :P
And ofcourse there’s that flickr bar in the sidebar, that adds a bit of colour.

It’s just that I find these colors simpler than others, and I’m a BIG fan of ZEN in everything I do – from presentations to reports. From application design to blog design. Simplicity is everything. Quoting Charles Mingus: “Anyone can make the simple complicated. Creativity is making the complicated simple.”

Just another way of looking at it :)

Oh and there’s also the social bookmarking bar in each post to add some colour :P And I keep addind these smilies :P

great blog, keep it comming.
