Witness

Yesterday I watched this movie that I had dismissed as being just another movie about Richard Gere’s fidelity – Shall We Dance. It wasn’t. In fact it was quite a pleasant movie. There’s a scene where Susan Sarandon is talking about marriage, and that was for me the best dialog in the entire movie: We need a witness to our lives. There’s a billion people on the planet… I mean, what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage, you’re promising to care about everything. The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things… all of it, all of the time, every day. You’re saying ‘Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go un-witnessed because I will be your witness’.” So I guess I’m already married to this blog, eh? We all need witnesses, right? Plural? Okay I should stop writing now…P.S. Ladies, I know you love Richie, but come on, aren’t we all sick of the redundancy in his roles? It’s like medieval movie – Russell Crowe. Movie about male fidelity – Richard Gere.

Perhaps not that tragic to forget. But definitely a tragedy to be forgotten. Hypocritical, but tragic :)

I understand what you’re saying. That’s why I call myself a ‘tragedy in the making’ :P
