Enlightened Moderation

I almost got busted at college a few days ago, for keeping long hair. (Yeah that’s my college! I go to a Naval college, so I guess you can understand!) I mean it’s not long really, just that I’m trying to grow ‘em long! I’ve spent a lot of my time since, trying to decide whether to wear my hair long anymore. Then last night, while listening to the news on Geo, I recognized the phrase ‘Enlightened Moderation’ instantly as being spoken by our President Musharraf – he’s been talking about that a lot lately. Instantly my mind jumped to ‘How come, with our president talking about enlightened moderation, are our colleges still taking monthly checks at hair length?’. Recently, cell phones were banned in our college, a new uniform was introduced and we’re hearing stuff about a compulsory tie as well! I guess all armed forces personnel don’t think alike!
