So, I’m out of things to blog about. Except for movies and music, of course 
So I thought I’d do a follow up on a post I’ve done before, and my favorite kind of post too! The hate post! So here’s a continuation of the list of people I hate!
- People who persist on starting conversation at urinals.
- People who insist on distinction rather than conformity during ba-jama’at prayers. I’ve seen people who stay in the Sajdah for a good thirty seconds or more after everyone has returned to tha Qayam.
- Pakistanis who know Urdu perfectly well, yet insist upon talking to you in English. Dude, what’re you trying to do?
- ppl who rite emails in txts
- People who sign their emails signatures in greens and maroons and purples and oranges and in fonts just as colorful (like Lucida Handwriting?) What is wrong with you!?
- People who go take cares or lolz.. or worse.. take carez.
- People who argue without objective. As in one of Mushtaq Ahmed Yusfis books, when a guy is told Aaj garmi bohot hai, he’d go Nahi, kal is se zyada hogi!
- People who call me Ab-sir.
- Self-righteous bums! I grant that privilege only to myself
- People who go Awww, zara dekho kitna bara ho gaya hai over me. Come on people, did I say Aap ke bhi to sar pe baal nahi rahay when I saw you after ten years?
- People who stare at my receding hairline rather than at my face when talking to me Well, this is an imaginary hate point thus far, but I fear that day isn’t much far away
- People who go all pale and “*gasp* Haaza kufr!!” on you when you wish someone on Christmas.
- People who think Star Wars > Star Trek (or even Voyager > TNG for that matter!). I will not tolerate that kind of ignorance around me!
- People who are so stuck up on their own ideas that they refuse to even consider that some other POV can have some validity. Recently, these people have changed strategies a bit. They will listen to you, but they’d give you the what do you know, you ignorant scoundrel look all the while, which frankly brings my blood dangerously close to a boil. And I don’t like boiling blood. I just like blood
So, there’s part two. I’m guessing there’s going to be a part three sometime into the future as well, because I’m telling you, my list is growing every day! I’m going to end up like one of those angry, intolerably difficult old guys who scare the living bull out of children just by being there

A lot of people stay in sujood for a few more minutes or seconds not purposely, but maybe because they’re making dua. Also, the position in sujood is the most beautiful and the most closest position a person is to Allah SWT. In other words, you don’t exactly know why they’re doing it in the first place.

You’re right. And when you’re offering individual Namaz, that’s perfectly fine with me. But isn’t the entire point of a Jama’at conformity? To act as one? I think in some situations, it’s better preferred to be part of the flock

Lets say they came out at a time where I was still into them.
Music and I parted our ways 4 years ago and we haven’t met each other ever since.
However with Movies its just been a year and a half, not to mention I think id still watch something if it was ‘decent’ [Like a cartoon!

Not sure though, it really depends on my heart, when its not into it, no matter how much im looking forward to it, i dont get around to watching it. Heh.
Ahh! Oh WOW! 4 years is a long time MashAllah!! I actually tried to give up music when I was 19 – deleted my music library. Laikin us ke baad jo shaitaan wapis aaya hai, to jaanay ka naam nahi leta

It takes time and steadfastness.
They say if you do something for 20 or more days it becomes a habit. If you really, sincerely want to give it up from the heart, piece of advice, use Ramadan as a training month.
Condition there is, ‘really, sincerely, from the heart’.
I didn’t really have a difficult time with it, alhamdulilah. And I was really into music, I knew all the latest songs that came out and all that jazz. Lyrics, etc, yeh, woh. You get the drift. However, when I started practicing and started getting into the Qur’an/deen more, it just moved away from my life and even when I would play a song from my favourites, my heart just didn’t move. Instead it felt heavy. And therefore we parted our ways.
Oh that I did. Even for the Ramzan of last year, I didn’t listen to music the entire month. But come Eid and I ran into Madeline Peyroux’s arms! Metaphorically speaking of course!

Well Star Trek is and Always will be Better than Star Wars! I Hate The Force and all that shit, although light-sabre are WAY cooler than phasors!
And TNG will always rule, voyager sucks… though it brings some of that exploration charm from the old series back.
